Mr. Patin has over 15 years experience in intellectual property (IP) matters involving valuation, IP management, licensing, finance, patent infringement disputes, and business transactions. His client engagements have often involved leading-edge and early-stage technologies where he developed extensive expertise in the areas of software, electronics and biotech. With professional experience spanning over 25 years, he has advised business and attorney clients on issues regarding economic impact, financial forecasting and modeling, market and operations analysis, damages in commercial litigation, business due diligence and risk assessment in both the public and private sectors.

Since 1995, Mr. Patin has run his own business offering specialized software products and financial/business process modeling and consulting services. Among his achievements was the development of a software implemented process for internal team management of IP technology at The Dow Chemical Company and the implementation of an intellectual property process improvement program for best-practices in managing over 200 product technology projects at Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology and Samsung Electronics Corporation. Other clients for valuation and IP strategy assignments have included Air Products & Chemicals, Boeing, Caterpillar, Exxon, Ford Global Technologies, Honeywell, Microsoft, and Weyerhaeuser.
