Copyrights, Celebrity Rights and Entertainment Properties

We deal extensively with the value of music rights, the rights of publicity for celebrities, and entertainment properties.  In the area of copyrights, we have valued and licensed out a broad range of materials, including projects as diverse as photographic collections, stretching back 75 years, of Polaroid Corporation, the valuation and licensing of the art and artifacts owned by the Vatican Library, value and licensing strategy for the Estate of Dr. Seuss, valuation of celebrity rights&nbspof people ranging from Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman to the BeeGees, Frank Zappa, and Rosa Parks.  Our work with entertainment properties includes clients such as MGM/United Artists, LucasFilms, Marvel Entertainment, and King Features. 

We work in two general areas: The first is in the establishment of value for these intellectual property rights, both for a deal structure and in litigation and second to license and leverage these valuable rights, extending the copyrighted materials onto products and services around the globe.
